Two southern ladies sipping mint juleps

Two southern ladies were sitting on the veranda sipping their mint juleps. One lady said to the other " I heard that you just got back from New York City. How did you like it?" The other lady said: " My, My it certainly was interesting. It was full of interesting people. Why, do you know that there are women there who like other women?" The first lady asked: "Really? Well, what do you call them?" Second lady said: "Why, they are called lesbians." The second lady went on to say: "New York City also has men who like other men." The first lady asked: " Oh my god, I can hardly believe that. What do they call them?" The second lady said: "Why, they call these men gays." The second lady went on to say in a hushed voice: "That's not all, there are men in New York City who like to lick the private parts of women." The first lady was appalled and asked: "Well, what do you call them?" The second lady said: "Well, I don't rightly know, but by the time he was finished, I was calling him precious."
